Israeli attacks | Airstrikes on the vicinity of Masyaf cause human and material losses in western rural Hama

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the Israeli shelling on Syrian territory on Thursday evening has targeted military depots in the “Defense Factories” in al-Zawi area in Masyaf countryside, west of Hama, causing heavy human and material losses.

According to Observatory sources, at least nine people were killed by shelling, four of whom are Syrians. It remains unknown whether they are regime soldiers or affiliated with Iranian forces, and five are still unidentified to date. The death toll is expected to rise as many of the injured are in a serious condition. Reports suggested that the attack resulted in further fatalities.

Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes, which carried out from Lebanese airspace, have destroyed ammunition and weapons depots.

In mid-April 2019, SOHR sources reported that at least 14 Iranians and Iranian-backed fighters were killed, nine of whom were Syrian and non-Syrian citizens residing on Syrian territory, while the other five, including at least three Iranians were all killed in the Israeli shelling on the accounting school in Masyaf city and on the center of medium-range missiles development in the village of Zawi and al-Tala’a in the village of Al-Sheikh Ghadhban in rural Masyaf.
