Daraa | 4th Division officers inspect checkpoints in “Yarmouk Basin” area

Syrian Observatory activists have reported that a convoy of several vehicles carrying officers of the 4th Division, led by “Maher Al-Assad” the Syrian regime president’s brother, conducted an inspection tour at the division’s checkpoints in “Yarmouk Basin” area in the western countryside of Daraa. The convoy was escorted by a close protection unit throughout the tour.

 

On June 29, SOHR activists said that members of the regime’s Air-Force Intelligence branch arrested two civilians, including the son of a former opposition commander of the “Al-Ashayer Brigade”, as they were passing through a checkpoint belonging to the 112th Brigade near Ain Zaker town in western countryside of Daraa. The reason behind arresting the two civilians were unknown.

 

On June 27, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that regime soldiers stationed at a checkpoint affiliated to the “Military Security” services at the entrance of Daraa city in southern Syria, arrested five young men for unknown reasons.

 

Separately, regime security services arrested an engineer from Da’el in the middle countryside of Daraa. The arrested person had served as “chief of a civil council” during the factions’ control of the area.
