East of Idlib | Explosion kills two people inside military factory

SOHR sources say that rescue teams recovered at least two unidentified bodies at the site of the explosion that hit eastern Idlib city, this afternoon, in a military headquarters containing a warehouse and a military manufacturing.  Smoke plumes were seen rising from the site and the building was severely damaged.

Meanwhile, rescue teams are still searching for other dead. No confirmed information has been reported to date on the nature of the explosion, whether it was caused by an International Coalition airstrike, as a drone was seen flying over the area of Idlib countryside at the time of the explosion, or was due to a technical error inside an ammunition depot.

On June 7, SOHR activists documented the killing of a jihadi commander who served as a “trainer” of the use of heavy weapons in the ranks of “Hurras Al-Din” jihadist organization in Al-Fu’ah town near Idlib city, while uncertainty surrounds the reasons behind the explosion.
