Deir Ezzor| Russian police open fire on “Air-force Intelligence” members in Al-Mayadeen, killing one

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that a checkpoint affiliated to the Russian military police, near Al-Bal’oum roundabout at the entrance of Al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, opened fire on a vehicle carrying three members of the regime’s “Air-force Intelligence” for not stopping at the checkpoint. The gunfire resulted in the killing of one member of the “Air-force Intelligence”, while the Russian police arrested another one before the third member managed to escape.

 

On July 7, SOHR sources said that tens of the regime-backed militiamen defected from the “National Defense Forces” (NDF) and joined an Iranian-backed militia. 43 militiamen of the relatives of (Akram Ahmed Al-Akram Al-Khudur), the commander of an Iranian-backed tribal militia dubbed “Al-Sheikh Akram Brigade”, broken away from NDF and joined Al-Akram’s militia, after being offered financial incentives and additional authorities by the militia’s commander.
