Islamic State issues IDs instead of the regime one

Al- Raqqa Province: SOHR activists knew that “the Islamic Police” of IS has issued IDs for the citizens who do not have proofs of their personalities and for the children who are over 13 years old in the province of al- Raqqa, where the sources confirmed to SOHR that IS has forced them to apply for this IDs and they are obliged to write their information and residence data instead of the IDs issued by the Syrian regime. The sources also reported that IS has determined the duration of the effectiveness of these IDs in 2 months only, in a move by IS to obligate the citizens to come back again in order to edit their information written on IDs. Information reported that IS has issued IDs that have codes, where it has distributed them on security leaders in the province.
