Russian anti-aircraft system intercepts unknown object over the Russian base in Amuda

Reliable sources have told SOHR that Russian forces stationed in Amuda base near the Syria-Turkey border in north-eastern Syria, fired a surface-to-air missile intercepting an unknown object, believed to be a drone, that was approaching the base’s airspace.

On August 8, Observatory activists monitored a Russian patrol of eight vehicles, coming from Al-Qamishli city. The patrol roaming villages in al-Qahtaniya countryside in Al-Hasakeh in the far north-east of Syria. The patrol was stationed later at the stadium of Deir Ghosn village in the same countryside.
