Preparations for new joint patrol with the Russians | Turkish army deploys troops along M4 highway

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored intensive deployment of Turkish troops at the entrances of Ariha city and along Latakia-Aleppo international highway (M4), which runs through the southern countryside of Idlib, while a joint patrol with the Russians is expected to be conducted today or tomorrow.

Yesterday, SOHR sources monitored Turkish forces on high alert along Latakia-Aleppo international highway (M4), in which Turkish forces were seen deployed in the area between Ishtabraq post to Nahlaya town in the western countryside of Idlib. This Turkish deployment follows the dramatic developments on Friday at the Turkish post in Salat Al-Zuhur village, south of Jisr Al-Shughur, including the detonation and armed attack.

On Friday, SOHR activists documented the killing of a resident from Tel Hamki village in the western countryside of Idlib in a car-bomb explosion near the Turkish post in Salet al-Zuhur village.
