Idlib | Turkish army shoots and injures civilian on his land near Turkish post in countryside

Idlib Province- Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that Turkish soldiers in the town of Benish in Idlib countryside opened fire last night from a Turkish post on a civilian car in the agricultural land of the town, seriously injuring a person and was taken to Bab al-Hawa hospital for treatment.

According to local sources, the young man went to his land adjacent to the Turkish post and shot at thieves who were stealing his agricultural equipment, then Turkish forces opened fire on him after they thought they were being targeted.

Turkish forces were preventing him from reaching his land due to the proximity of the Turkish post, which prompted him to open fire on them in order to express his anger. 

SOHR sources say that a Turkish soldier died of injuries he sustained this morning, after a military base being targeted in the town of Ma’atram near Ariha city in Idlib.

On September 6, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that unknown gunmen in a car “Santa Fe” opened fire on several Turkish soldiers in the perimeter of their military base in “Mu’taram” town nearby Ariha city, south of Idlib. The attack left two Turkish soldiers injured, one of them sustained serious injuries.

On August 29, SOHR sources reported car bomb explosion and armed attack on a Turkish post in Sallat Al-Zuhur village in western Idlib.
