Hostilities | Opposition factions repel infiltration attempt by regime forces in Idlib countryside, and clash with regime forces on frontlines of rural Aleppo and Idlib

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this evening sporadic clashes between regime forces and loyalists on the one hand, and rebels and Islamic factions on the other, on frontlines of al-Fatira in the southern countryside of Idlib, Taqad and Bassratoun in western Aleppo countryside. The clashes coincided with shelling on factions’ positions in Jabal al-Zawiya in Idlib countryside, and the villages of Kafr Ta’al and Tadil in Aleppo countryside, and Kabana frontline in Jabal Al-Akrad in Latakia countryside, and areas in Sahl al-Ghab, north-west of Hama province.

The “al-Fath al-Mubin” operations room targeted regime forces’ positions in Saraqeb and other areas in Jabal al-Zawiya. Meanwhile, the factions managed to repel an infiltration attempt by regime forces on al-Fatira frontline. No casualties have been reported.

Observatory activists have documented a spike in the death toll of regime forces in the last 24 hours. Eight regime soldiers were killed in shelling and clashes on frontlines of the town of Kafranbel in southern countryside of Idlib.

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of one regime soldier and the injuring of others, as a landmine exploded on frontline of Harsh Benin village in southern countryof Idlib.

On the other hand, HTS targeted with “B9” rockets regime forces’ positions in the village of Bisraton in western Aleppo countryside. No casualties have been reported so far.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of a young man from the city of Al-Atareb, west of Aleppo, when his car was targeted by a rocket-propelled grenade by regime forces stationed in the “46th Brigade” in western Aleppo countryside.

SOHR sources have monitored earlier Russian jets carrying out intensive strikes on Idlib province. The airstrikes hit positions in the western part of Idlib city, Arab Saied area, and the surrounding areas of Batenta town in north-western Idlib.
