Assassination | Unknown gunmen shot dead SDF member in Theban

Dier Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have documented the death of an SDF fighter, who served previously in the ranks of Asayish Forces, after being shot by two unknown gunmen in Theban town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. It is worth noting that SDF have launched a large-scale security campaign in Theban town for days, during which tens of people were arrested.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources confirmed that SDF brought in more military reinforcement to Al-Tayyanah and Theban towns in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, boosting positions they established on Saturday.

 

According to SOHR sources, SDF released a group of people arrested a few hours earlier, while others were kept imprisoned for “belonging to regime-affiliated armed cells”.
