Deir ez-Zor countryside | Unknown explosion rocks areas held by Iranian militias

Deir ez-Zor province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists have reported hearing a loud explosion today, in areas held by Iranian militias in the town of Salhia in eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour. Plumes of smoke were seen rising from the area, while the causes of the explosion are still unknown.

On October 7, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of two fighters of “Al-Abbas Brigade” of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, as two landmines exploded in a group of the Brigade in the desert of al-Mayadeen in eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour. Some seven fighters were also injured in the two explosions.
