Ceasefire violations | Regime intensive rocket attacks pound positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, Shal Al-Ghab and Jabal Al-Akrad

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored renewed rocket attacks by regime forces on the “de-escalation zone”, as many rockets were fired this morning and afternoon on positions in Al-Bara, Kansafrah in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib, Al-Sarmaniyyah in Sahl Al-Ghab, and positions in Jabal Al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia.

Meanwhile, opposition factions attacked, with snipers and shells, regime positions in Al-Dar Al-Kabera and Al-Malajah in the south of Idlib, amid reports of casualties.

SOHR activists monitored earlier this morning tense calm prevailing throughout the “de-escalation zone” since the early hours of Sunday morning as a result of the poor weather conditions in the area. Meanwhile, regime forces fired several shells on positions in towns and villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib, but no casualties were reported.

Yesterday, Syrian Observatory activists documented the death of three members of Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement in regime shelling on the frontlines of Deir Sonbol town in the east of Jabal Al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside. Regime forces also renewed artillery fire on Jabal Al-Zawiyah, targeting Kansafrah town and Kafr Oweid village, along with frequent flights by reconnaissance drones over the area.
