Growing tension | Turkish-backed factions on high alert after militiaman attacked in Afrin

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have reported seeing Turkish-backed factions in Afrin on high alert, after a member of “Ahrar Al-Sharqiyyah” beat and confiscated the gun of another member of “Sultan Murad” in Afrin city. According to local sources, personal disagreement is behind this attack.

Meanwhile, members of “Sultan Murad” demanded the factions hand over the attacker and fired bullets in the air, threatening to arrest members of “Ahrar Al-Sharqiyyah”.

On November 7, reliable SOHR sources in Afrin said that members of the Turkish-backed military police brutally beaten a displaced activist from Homs, who is also the commander of a battalion of Turkish-backed factions, and prosecuted his friend who is also an activist from Daraa.
