Security chaos in HTS-held areas | Unknown assailants try to assassinate imam in Idlib countryside

Idlib province- Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that a grenade thrown by unknown assailants exploded in the town of Salqin in the north-western countryside of Idlib, slightly injuring one person.

According to Observatory sources, unidentified gunmen targeted the imam of a mosque in the city’s countryside opposed to HTS, and he was a cleric in the Islamic movement Ahrar al-Sham.

This comes as security continues within the areas held by HTS and the factions which control Idlib and its countryside.

On November 12, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of a young man from the Sinjar area, east of Idlib, by unidentified gunmen on the Sarmada-Ras al-Husn road, in HTS-held in northern countryside of Idlib.
