Instability in Deir Ezzor | Unknown gunmen attack SDF headquarters with RPG, while SDF bring in military reinforcement

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Unknown gunmen fired a rocket-propelled grenade on SDF headquarters in the dispensary in Al-Shuhayl city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, followed by clashes with machineguns between the attackers and SDF fighters stationed at the headquarters. The attack left several SDF fighters injured.

 

Meanwhile, SDF brought in military reinforcement from Al-Busayrah city to the site of the attack in Al-Shuhayl town.

 

On the other hand, SDF stormed “Al-Shaheed Khalil Madhan Al-Khalaf” School in Al-Busayrah city, arresting two young men living at the school, but no further details were reported.

 

SOHR activists have just documented the death of an SDF fighter after being shot by unknown gunmen in Daman village in Al-Busayrah city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

Accordingly, the number of today’s assassinations which targeted SDF fighters rose to two, which left three fighters dead and injured.

 

SOHR sources reported earlier that unknown gunmen opened fire on two SDF fighters in Zughayr Jazeera village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor. The attack left one fighter injured, while the other one sustained injuries.

 

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 636 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.

 

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 222 civilians including 17 children and 11 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 411 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.
