Daraa governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that an armed tribal fight renewed between members of the “Kiwan” and “Al-Zuabi” clans in the town of Tafas in western countryside of Daraa, amid widespread public discontent over the ongoing and escalating fighting in the residential neighbourhoods in the city.

SOHR sources have documented the death of a civilian woman affected by wounds she sustained yesterday, after being hit with an indiscriminate gunshot during armed fight between two tribes in Tafas city in the western countryside of Daraa.

Meanwhile, cautious calm is prevailing Tafas city, while “Kiwan” and “Al-Za’bi” tribes were seen on high alert. Moreover, SOHR activists have confirmed that a military and tribal delegation arrived in the city this morning in order to defuse the disagreement between the two tribes and put an end to the conflict. On the other hand, shop owners continue closing their shops for fear of renewed clashes.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of three people and injury of another one during an armed fight between “Kiwan” and “Al-Za’bi” tribes in Tafas city in the western countryside of Daraa. This development coincided with growing tension in the city, while both tribes were amassing more members. Moreover, regime reconnaissance drones were seen flying over the city.
