IED attack | Explosion targets HTS security official in western Idlib

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have reported an IED explosion in the car of a security official of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Al-Kastan village in Jisr Al-Shughur in western Idlib. the explosion caused material damage only.

 

On January 27, SOHR sources reported an explosion in Bennish town in Idlib countryside as a result of the explosion of ammunition in a weapons store in the city’s northern neighbourhood. The explosion left several people injured.

 

This explosion came 48 hours after the “Salvation Government” had decided to close all weapons stores in areas under its control.

 

While on January 25, the HTS-backed “Salvation Government” issued a new decision ordering the closure of all arms stores in areas under its control in Idlib province and parts of Aleppo countryside over the repeated explosions in some arms stores, mostly left casualties among civilians and militiamen of jihadi groups. Through an official statement, of which the Syrian Observatory obtained a copy, the “Salvation Government” demanded the arms stores’ owners check the “criminal security” branch in Idlib city.
