North of Raqqa | Altercation between two groups of SDF and “Al-Asaish” evolves into clashes in Ain Issa

SOHR sources from the area of Ain Issa, north of Raqqa, say that an altercation took place at the Ain Issa checkpoint of the military police, which evolved into a hand-to-hand fight during the last hours, between the members of the checkpoint and a leader of the “Military Council” in Raqqa of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The incident began when the the members of the checkpoint refused to allow the leader pass from the area, as he did not have “permission or mission”, then a verbal altercation occurred between the two sides which evolved into a hand-to-hand fight, before the leader withdrew. The leader then brought in large military forces from the frontlines and targeted with machine guns checkpoints belonging to the military police and Internal Security Forces “Asayish” in the area of Ain Issa, resulting in injuries. After which the SDF intelligence intervened and arrested those involved in the incident.
