Deir ez-Zor countryside | SOHR sources reveal the identities of man and his wife killed in SDF-held areas

Deir ez-Zor governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the identities of the man and woman who were killed yesterday in the town of Al-Shuhayl, which is under the control of SDF east of Deir ez-Zor, were identified.

According to sources, the victims are a man and his wife working for the “Al-Birr and Al-Ihssan Charity Association” operating in Deir ez-Zor in the Syrian regime-held areas, and they were on a mission for the Association. No information has been reported on the causes and motives that led to their deaths.

This comes in light of the growing activities of ISIS cells in SDF-held areas in Deir ez-Zor countryside.

Yesterday, SOHR sources said that two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle targeted a man and a woman in a car in the town of Al-Shuhayl, east of Deir ez-Zor. The attack resulted in their immediate death, without identifying their identities to date.
