First attack of kind | Two members of Internal Security Forces killed by gunmen in Hama

Hama province: Two members of the regime forces-controlled Internal Security forcesin attack by two gunmen riding a motorbike who shot a security checkpoint in al-Marabet neighboruhood in Hama city which casued the imidiate death of two officers.

On May 25, SOHR activists documented the death of a gunman in clashes with a patrol of regime police near the back gate of “al-Adli Palace” in Hama. The clashes erupted after two gunmen, including the fatality, opened fire on a police vehicle transporting prisoners to “al-Adli Palace”. According to local sources, the attack comes as a part of an old retaliation with one of the prisoners in the regime police’s vehicle. Moreover, a police officer sustained serious injuries in the attack which also caused material damage to the police’s vehicle.
