Turkish government imposes new restrictions on patients leaving Syrian for treatment

The Turkish side has stopped on August 16 issuing documents to enter from Bab al-Hawa border with Liwaa Eskandron in north Idlib for the patients who need to enter the border for treatment in Turkey. It has exchanged Identities Documents that that were allowing the patient to receive direct medication in the Turkish hospitals with tourist medication document that is valid for one month that is only recognized in the State Hospital in Antakya.
The tourist certificate will allow the patient to stay only for two weeks in the hospital.
However, the hospital in Antakya since Sept. 15 has stopped the medication indefinitely or to even to undergo any medical test for the holders of the new tourist certificate.
It is worth noting that nearly 450 patients are in the areas under control of the Turkish factions and factions-held areas in Idlib, and Aleppo countryside and most of them are suffering cancer and heart surgeries in al-Rayhanyah city in Turkey. But fate of their medication remained unknown, because the new document isn’t fixed and required its holders to return back to Syrian and renew it monthly. The new decision causes severe sufferings for the patients who need urgent medication especially the chronic diseases
