Heath deterioration | People in Autonomous Administration appeal on SOHR to boost medical center

Worsening health conditions deteriorate in al-Baghour city in east Deir Ezzor city amid lack of doctors in the city along with COVID-19 spread, and the water pollution that caused many poisoning cases.

People in Autonomous Administration appeal on SOHR to boost medical center after a contract of supporting organization has been ended.

It is worth noting that al-Baghouz town include four villages administratively including Howaighat al-Moshahada, al-Safafah, Mouzan and Baghour Tahatany. The villages are inhabited by nearly 30,000 people and the medical center that serve the four villages lack all kinds of medications and there is no doctors or nearby hospital in addition to the available poor tools there since August, after the supporting organization that was coming each Saturday and Tuesday to provide treatments and free medicine, has left.

Civilians in al-Baghouz town suffer shortage of medical services as the nearest hospital is 70 km far from the town and there is difficulty for the civilians to leave in late hours either for emergencies or delivery.
