Turkish-backed factions violations | Militiamen of “Al-Samarqand” beat civilian brutally and impose a large levy on another in Jendires

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that militiamen of the Turkish-backed faction of “Al-Samarqand” which controls Kafr Safra village in Jendires district have kidnapped a civilian from the village and beaten him brutally, using metal wires. The militiamen also threatened to kill the civilian in the case that he did not pay a ransom of 5,000 USD. According to SOHR sources, this incident came after the faction’s militiamen had obtained information about the fact that the civilian had a large sum of money, as he had sold a plot of land he owned overlooking the road to Kuira village in Afrin countryside. Accordingly, the civilian was forced to bow to the militiamen’s demands and paid the ransom.

On the other hand, other militiamen of the same faction have imposed a levy of 100 drums of olive oil on a civilian form Kafr Safra village under “protection taxes”.
