After paying large ransom | Ahrar Al-Sham releases merchant and his son in Al-Bab city

Aleppo province: SOHR sources in Al-Bab city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo have reported that Ahrar Al-Sham has released a merchant and his son, after paying a ransom of an estimated 30 USD, as they had been arrested nearly a week ago in the city.

 

According to SOHR sources, a member of Ahrar Al-Sham known as “Abu Dajanah” have formed a kidnap gang with the aim to collect ransoms from civilians. The gang comprises tens of militiamen and travel in “Santa Fe” cars, searching for rich civilians and merchants in order to kidnap them and blackmail their families to get ransoms in return for their release.
