De-escalation zone | Deteriorating educational and living conditions in Silouk north Al-Raqqah

Silouk region in north Al-Raqqah countryside in the areas under control of the “De-escalation zone” has been suffering deteriorating educational conditions and absence of simplest living essentials.

According to SOHR sources, Silouk schools suffer severe negligence by local municipalities that have been established by Turkey and the organisations working in the region as large number of schools are unqualified till the moment and their classes lack windows and doors. Meanwhile, in light of the declining temperature across Syria and lack of gasoline heating, most of the parents were forced not to send their children to schools.

Silouk area also suffers absence of the simplest living essentials like electricity and water in light of absence of organisations’ role in areas under control of the Turkish forces and National Army factions.

On the other hand, activists, on Friday, in the de-escalation zone, have called for protests to demand their legitimate rights in Tal Abyad, Silouk and Ras Al Ain districts.
