East Aleppo countryside | Afghan Fatimyoun exploits catastrophic living conditions and recruits more people

Iran- backed factions, especially Afghan “Liwaa Fatimyoun” militia, still exploit catastrophic living conditions, shortage of job opportunities for low salaries, hiking prices, and the difficulty of securing food, for recruiting male adults and men in east Aleppo countryside.

According to SOHR reliable sources, number of men recruited to serve in ranks of the Iranian militia rises to 2,480 persons as recruitment process has escalated since February 2021 till now. Recruitment has concentrated in Maskanah, Al-Safirah, Deir Hafer areas and other cities and towns in east Aleppo that are conducted via mediators for generous money.

On November 25, Observatory sources reported that Iranian-backed militias brought in the second batch of military reinforcement in November to their base in Habbouba village between the villages of Khafsa and Maskanah, east of Aleppo, which was established recently on the bank of Euphrates river, opposite SDF-held areas on the other bank of the river.
