Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen, believed to be of ISIS cells, attacked Al-Hendi checkpoint, which is also a military post of Syria Democratic Forces in Al-Shuhayl city in eastern Deir Ezzor. Violent clashes erupted between both sides, where the attackers used RPGs and machineguns. The clashes lasted for over a half an hour, before the attackers escaped. However, no casualties have been reported.

SOHR sources reported earlier today, that Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested five people on charge of “dealing with and belonging to ISIS” in Theban town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor with weapons on their possession.

It is worth noting that SDF continued security operation in different areas in Deir Ezzor countryside, where patrols arrested seven persons from Al-Basirah city on charge of “dealing with ISIS”, as well as arresting a person from Tayyeb Al-Fal village in north Deir Ezzor countryside.

Accordingly, the number of people arrested by the SDF in three days in different areas in Deir Ezzor countryside rose to 42.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that the number of people arrested by SDF patrols during a series of raids carried out since a day earlier in the villages and towns of Al-Roz, Abu Al-Naytel, Al-Hariji, Daman, Ziban, and Al-Tayyanah in the northern and eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor rose to 29 on charges of “dealing and belonging to ISIS”.

The SDF and its military forces are being greatly mobilized from Al-Raqqa countryside to the Deir Ezzor countryside.

This comes amid blazing events in Ghuwayran prison in Al-Hasakah city.
