After absence of “Putin-Erdogan” area for 36 days | Russian warplane shells Turkish military checkpoint in Idlib countryside

Idlib province: SOHR activists have reported that a Russian warplane has shelled the vicinity of Shinan town, which holds a Turkish military checkpoint southern of Jabal Al-Arba’aen in the southern Idlib countryside.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the warplane launched two missiles which blew up in the sky over residential areas, where shrapnel scattered in the area, however no casualties have been reported yet.

This comes after absence of shelling by Russian warplanes on “Putin-Erdogan” area for 36 days, with the last Russian airstrike was documented by SOHR activists on February 6.

Russian fighter jets conducted, in February 2022, eight airstrikes on the “de-escalation zone” that left no causalities.
The airstrikes hit the vicinity of Kafr Shila in Idlib countryside twice: on February 3 and 6 with four airstrikes in each round.
