Rising tension | Five NDF members injured in clashes with tribesmen in Al-Bokamal

Deir Ezzor province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that clashes erupted between members of the National Defence Forces (NDF) and gunmen of Al-Jaghayfah tribe in Al-Bokamal city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor for unknown reasons. Five NDF members sustained various injuries during these clashes.

On February 7, clashes erupted between tribesmen and the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Al-Bokamal countryside in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. According to SOHR sources, three civilians of Al-Jaghayfah tribe and two MPF members sustained various injuries in the clashes which followed a dispute between the two sides during a wedding party in Al-Hirri village on the Syria-Iraq border, while the reasons behind this dispute remained unknown.
