Deir Ezzor security chaos | Regime-backed cells raise regime flag and clash with SDF

 

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen believed to be regime-backed cells opened fire on members of Al-Mo’asasa checkpoint of SDF with machineguns in Zaiban town eastern of Deir Ezzor, where violent clashes erupted between the gunmen and the members of the checkpoint.

The gunmen hanged the Syrian regime’s flags on electricity poles, before the gunmen fled to an unknown destination.

On the same context, unidentified people opened fire with machineguns near Al-Qahawy junction in Abo Hamam in Deir Ezzor countryside, before fleeing from the area for unknown reasons.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented 54 attacks carried out by ISIS cells since the beginning of 2022, excluding Ghuwayran prison attack and including armed attacks and explosions, leaving 36 deaths: 14 civilians, 22 members of SDF, Asayish and the Self-Defence Forces.
