“De-escalation zone” | Turkish forces bring in logistic reinforcements to frontlines with regime forces in Idlib countryside

Idlib province: SOHR activists have monitored the entry of a Turkish military convoy from Kafr Lucien crossing northern of Idlib.

The convoy comprises 20 trucks carrying cement blocks formed as tunnels, and headed towards Turkish command checkpoint in Al-Mastoma town, before sending reinforcements towards frontlines with regime forces in the eastern frontline of Jabal Al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside.

On June 2, reliable sources informed SOHR that Turkish forces carried out a large-scale combing operation in search of landmines and explosive shells in Aleppo-Latakia “M4” international highway, starting from Neirab town, east of Idlib, to Jisr Al-Shughour in the western countryside of Idlib.
The International highway witnessed a massive deployment of Turkish troops and armoured vehicles to secure foot troops in the combing operation.
It is worth noting that this was the first combing operation to fully comb the M4 highway after it was halted several months ago.
