Syria-Turkey border | Turkey rebuild boundary wall detonated months ago in Ain Al-Arab countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR sources reported that during the past hours, the Turkish forces rebuilt a section of the border wall between Syria and Turkey opposite Kultab area in eastern Ain Al-Arab countryside, east of Aleppo.

It is worth noting that a part of the boundary wall was exploded months ago, specifically on the morning of January 8, 2022.

During the reconstruction process, gunmen opened live fire in the area, prompting the population and resident to flee.

Russian forces, accompanied by their helicopters, intervened to protect the area and supervise the reconstruction of the collapsed section of the boundary wall.

On January 8, SOHR sources reported hearing an explosion in the early morning, caused by blowing up a part of the border wall between Syria and Turkey near the villages of Aghbish and Kaltab in Kobani countryside.

SOHR sources reported that rockets fired from Turkish territory near the border with Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) hit several positions in Ain Al-Arab city and the villages of Kobralak, Jurn, Kaltab and Qarmough to the east of the city. The rocket attacks caused material damage to civilian properties.

SOHR activists documented the death of the elder of Khan village in the eastern countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), while 12 other civilians, including women and children, sustained various injuries, a child of whom lost his leg, due to the intensive rocket fire by Turkish forces on Ain Al-Arab city and countryside, near the Syria-Turkey border.

According to SOHR sources, the Turkish rockets hit positions in Kobani city and nearly 15 villages and towns in the countryside of Kobani and Tel Abyad, including Kobralak, Jurn, Kaltab, Qarmough, Tel Jib Khanah, Zarzouri, Sawwan, Salibi, Khan and Bir Arab.
