Failed assassination | Two drug dealers and promoters injured in eastern Daraa countryside

Syrian Observatory activists have reported that unidentified gunmen opened fire on two drug dealers and promoters in Al-Hirak city in the eastern countryside of Daraa on Sunday evening, seriously injuring them.

According to SOHR sources, the two persons work for the regime’s security branches besides their work in drug trafficking and promotion in Daraa province.

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 300, which left 255 people dead; and they are as follows:

 

• 127 civilians, including three women and five children.

• 105 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

• 12 former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

• An ex-ISIS member.

• Seven unidentified people.

• Three militiamen of the Russian-backed 5th Corps.
