Rampant security chaos | Al-Sanadid military regiment come under armed attack in Al-Hasakah countryside

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen targeted with machine guns a “military regiment” of Al-Sanadid forces near what is known as the political road in Al-Yarubiyah town in Al-Hasakah countryside. No casualties have been reported so far.

It is worth noting that the assailants are believed to be ISIS fighters.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that unidentified gunmen on a motorbike, believed to be ISIS cells, attacked an SDF member in front of his house in Al-Basira city in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, injuring him severely, and he was transported to a hospital in the region.

This comes in light of the increased activity of ISIS cells in SDF-held areas.

SOHR activists had reported that armed ISIS cells on motorbikes attacked a checkpoint of the Internal Security Forces in Al-Wahid village in northern Deir Ezzor countryside, injuring a member of the checkpoint, while the gunmen fled to an unknown destination.
