Rif Dimashq security chaos | Civilian killed by stray bullet near 4th Division checkpoint
Rif Dimashq province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a civilian in Khirbat Al-Ward town in Rif Dimashq, where she was hit by a stray bullet, as members of 4th Division checkpoint opened fire randomly in the area, amid accusations against the members for killing the civilian.
The young man hails from Al-Jarzy Al-Gharby town eastern of Deir Ezzor.
On August 8, SOHR activists reported that a group of young men attacked the municipality building and the post office in Kafr Hor town in Qatna area in Rif Dimashq, after a group of local gunmen ambushed two regime defectors, one of them from Kafr Hor town and the other from Al-Ghota Al-Sharqiyah.
Moreover, the assailants demanded the release of the detainees immediately, while the town hadbeen witnessing security tension.
On August 5, SOHR activists reported that members of a regime’s new checkpoint (Artoz) in Rif Dimashq arrested a group of smugglers, and took them to the security centres.
According to reliable SOHR sources, regime forces managed to arrest three smugglers, who had weapons in their possession.
