Growing protests | Medics condemn Ankara’s statements and denounce international silence and inaction towards Al-Bab massacre

Aleppo province: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that medics and medical staffs staged a sit-in protest in front of hospitals in Mare’ and Azaz cities, denouncing the international silence and inaction and the “negative” stance by opposition bodies towards Al-Bab massacre and condemning Ankara’s statements which have called for a “reconciliation” with the Syrian regime.

Observatory sources have just reported that hundreds of residents staged a demonstration in Al-Bab city in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, protesting Erdogan’s stance and statements by the Turkish Foreign Minister regarding Turkeys proposal for a “reconciliation” with the Syrian regime.

The demonstrators lifted placards with anti-Erdogan slogans written on them, one of which read “since you announced your Red Lines, we have realised that you are impostor.”

The protestors also chanted anti-regime slogans, expressing their rejection of any “reconciliations” with the Syrian regime.

The demonstration coincided with a state of a general strike and closure of shops in Al-Bab city in mourning for the victims of yesterday’s horrific massacre, which was committed by regime forces when they fired rockets and artillery shells on an outdoors market and residential neighbourhoods in Al-Bab city, killing 17 civilians, including six children. The regime’s heavy bombardment on Al-Bab city was a response to the killing of regime soldiers in airstrikes by Turkish fighter jets on positions in Ain Al-Arab countryside (Kobani) in Aleppo countryside a few days earlier.
