Clashes with National Defence | Member of the State Security injured in Deir Ezzor city

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of a member of the State Security, due to clashes between members of the regime-backed National Defence on one hand, and members of the State Security on the other hand in Al-Joura neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city, amid large security tension in the neighbourhoods of the city.

On September 11, a commander of the National Defence militia was arrested by regime forces in Al-Jura neighbourhood of Deir Ezzor, SOHR activsists reported.

A patrol of regime forces raided the house of the deputy commander of National Defence militia on the main street in Al-Jura neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city, and clashes with the commander.

It is worth noting that the commander had a bad reputation. The reason for the commander arrest remains unknown, while some suggest that it is for settling scores.

The regime forces also arrested another commander of National Defence militia a few days ago in Deir Ezzor for unknown reasons.

The arrested commander was a former member of the factions, then he joined the ranks of national defence militia in Deir Ezzor after ISIS took control of the area.

Accordingly, regime security services had arrested three National Defence commanders in Deir Ezzor in less than a week.
