Amid bombardment on residential neighbourhoods | Civilians in Kafr Jannah village and refugee camp displace to safer areas

Aleppo province: Reliable SOHR sources have reported seeing civilian mass exodus from Kafr Jannah village and a nearby refugee camp. Civilians headed to Azaz city and Sharan district, after the mortar and tank attacks which targeted the village. In addition, fierce clashes are still ongoing on the outskirts of Kafr Jannah village between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and Turkish-backed factions.

SOHR sources had reported that the living and humanitarian situations of the residents of Afrin deteriorated further in light of the ongoing violent clashes on several frontlines and cut off of roads. In this context, SOHR sources reported that the development department of the “Salvation Government” distributed bread and food assistance to the residents of Qarzihal village in Afrin countryside, after Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham having captured the village.

Meanwhile, roads between linking different residential areas remain blocked, such as Jendires-Hamam crossing road, Afrin-Bulbul district road, Afrin-Sharan district road, Afrin-Ma’batli district road, Afrin-Jendires district road, Afrin-Raju road, Afrin-Sheikh Hadeed district and Afrin-Azaz road.

Amid the ongoing infighting among Turkish-backed factions and the engagement of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, militiamen of the conflicting factions committed several violations, such as thefts and looting civilian properties.
