Accidental gunfire | Displaced man shot dead in Afrin

SOHR activists have documented the death of a young displaced man from Maarat Harma town, south of Idlib, who lives in Afrin city in the northern countryside of Aleppo by accidental gunfire while cleaning his weapon.

On August 26, SOHR activists documented the death of an eight-year-old child, who was shot indiscriminately by Turkish-backed militiamen in Tel Abyad countryside in “Peace Spring” area in Al-Raqqa countryside.

This comes as a part of escalating security chaos and proliferation of arms in areas controlled by Turkish forces and their proxy factions.
