IS-IS dramatic escalation | Civilian shod de*ad in pliant sight of wife and children in southern Al-Hasakah countryside

Al-Hasakah province: A civilian, driving a motorcycle accompanied by his wife and children, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen, believed to be ISIS members, who arrested him on the road to Al-Tarqiyyah village in the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah. The gunmen fled to an unknown destination.

This comes in light of the dramatic escalation of ISIS activity in “SDF” controlled areas in northern and eastern Syria.

SOHR has documented 197 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022.

According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 142 persons dead: 54 civilians, including two women and a child, and 87 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces, and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
