Daraa security chaos | Former non-commissioned officer of General Intelligence assa-ssinated

Daraa province: A former non-commissioned officer of the General Intelligence Administration “State Security” was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Nawa city in western Daraa countryside.

It is worth noting that he underwent reconciliation with the regime forces in 2018, and was arrested several times by the security services.

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 527, which left 488 people dead; and they are as follows:

• 216 civilians, including six women and 11 children.

• 181 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

• 45 former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

• 32 ex-ISIS members and members accused of “belonging to ISIS cells.”

• Nine unidentified people.

• Five militiamen of the Russian-backed 5th Corps.
