SOHR: Turkish Shelling Kills Three Syrian Regime Officers in Aleppo

Turkish forces on Thursday bombarded areas in northwest of Aleppo in northeast of Syria where at least three officers of the Syrian regime were killed, a war monitor reported.

The Turkish bombardment targeted the village of Mayasah, in Afrin town of Aleppo province, where Kurdish and regime forces are present, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Among the those killed in the Turkish shelling was also a major general, the London-based monitoring group noted.

Last Sunday, SOHR cited sources as reporting that heavy clashes erupted between the regime forces and Turkey-backed Syrian Islamist groups on the frontlines of Tel Jayjan and Abla in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

As a result of the armed conflict, at least four people were killed and two others were wounded, the Observatory said, without mentioning on which side the casualties were reported.
