Fleeing dreadful living conditions | Family leaves Al-Rukban camp for regime-controlled areas

A family of four people from “Bani Khaled” tribe has left Al-Rukban camp in the 55 kilometre de-confliction zone on the Syria-Jordan-Iraq border for regime-controlled areas in Homs. It is worth noting that no guarantees protecting the family that has fled the dreadful living conditions in the camp and the stifling siege imposed by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias.

This is the first family to leave the camp in 2023.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that the regime military intelligence branch arrested three people from Al-Shammas neighbourhood a few days ago, after having left Al-Rukban camp, returning to their neighbourhood.

It is worth noting that 167 families of nearly 1,000 people left for regime-controlled areas in 2022, attempting to flee from the catastrophic situation in the camp and the stifling siege imposed by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias.
