With help of local council and Arabic institution | Al-Sham Legion takes over land in archaeological site in Afrin

Aleppo province: Members of Turkish-backed factions assaulted a group of civilians from Afrin including an elder and a woman from Jinderes district, after taking their lands under the pretext of establishing a camp to those affected by the earthquake, without their knowledge.

On the same context, the local council in Jinderes and Al-Sham Legion agreed with a Saudi institution to establish a camp to rescue those affected by the earthquake, where the camp was established in an agricultural land near Tel Jinderes that members of the factions had been trying to take over.

On the same context, owners of the land prevented members of Al-Sham Legion from establishing the camp within the land near the archaeological site, where dozens of members of the faction assaulted the land owners and threatened to kill them in case they issue complaints and demand their rights.

Earlier today, members of “Al-Sultan Murad” Division felled nearly 30 olive trees in Astir and Qorh Tabah villages in Afrin countryside. Moreover, members of Al-Hamza Division faction felled nearly 15 olive trees in Kafr Zait village and 11 olive trees in Kafr village in Afrin countryside, while “Al-Sham Legion” felled nearly 35 olive trees to sell them as heating logs for financial benefit.

On the same context, members of Al-Hamza Division that controls Maarata village in Afrin countryside have taken over a house to house the family of one of the Division’s gunmen. Moreover, members of Al-Sham Legion that controls Fafirten village in Shirawa district expelled several native civilians from their houses to house families of its gunmen after their houses were damaged due to the earthquake that hit the region.

Moreover, members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah” faction sold three houses in Al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhood in Afrin city for 1,000 USDs for each house, while another gunman sold five residential apartments in Al-Ashrafiyah neighbourhood for 800 USDs for each house.

In Rajo district within Afrin countryside north western of Aleppo, members of “Jaish Al-Sharqiyah” faction stormed a store for selling olive oil and stole 20 cans of olive oil that belong to a civilian from Qada village, while the Military Police have not taken any action, although the store is present near the Military Police centre.
