For corruption | Security services in areas of the Autonomous Administration arrest two employees of Deir Ezzor Civil Council

Deir Ezzor province: Members of the General Security Service in areas of the Autonomous Administration arrested two employees of the service committee in Deir Ezzor Civil Council for “financial corruption and robbing huge amounts of money from warehouses of the council”, where they were taken to a security centre without knowing their fate.

On January 17, the joint head of Deir Ezzor Civil Council was beaten inside the council by a protestor, who demanded their allocations of fuels and improvement of services, in the 7th kilometre northern to Deir Ezzor.

This came after gathering of dozens of civilians to participate in protests in front of Deir Ezzor Civil Council in the “Autonomous Administration”, due to incomplete distribution of heating diesel.
