Earlier retaliation | Civilian killed by his cousins in Al-Hasakah city
Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that a civilian from Gharanij town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor was shot dead yesterday by his cousins in SDF-controlled part of Al-Hasakah city over an earlier retaliation.
This comes as a part of the escalating security chaos in SDF-controlled areas.
The Syrian Observatory has documented 16 murder crimes in SDF-controlled areas since early 2023, where domestic violence and armed robbery were behind some of these murders, while motivations behind the others remained unknown. These murders left 18 civilian fatalities, including three women and a three children; they are distributed regionally as follows:
- Al-Hasakah: Four civilians.
- Deir Ezzor: Nine civilians, including a woman and a little girl.
- Al-Raqqah: Two civilians: a woman and a little girl.
- Manbij: Two civilians: a young man and a woman.
- Ain Al-Arab (Kobani): A little boy.
