Comprising ten trucks | First UN aid convoy enters Idlib since HTS decision preventing entry of aid convoys from regime-controlled areas

Idlib province: SOHR sources have reported the entry of a UN aid convoy through Al-Tarnabah crossing near Saraqib city in eastern Idlib countryside. The convoy, which comprised ten trucks of humanitarian aid and relief supplies, came from regime-controlled areas, amid strict security measures and deployment of members of HTS to guard the convoy.

The convoy headed towards the warehouses in Bab Al-Hawa area in the north of Idlib, near the frontlines with regime-controlled areas, where the trucks’ cargoes were unloaded.

It si worth noting that this is the first humanitarian aid convoy to enter Idlib, after HTS refused to allow the entry of aid supplies from regime-controlled areas, after the devastating earthquake which hit areas in north-western Syria last February, under the pretext of the “illegality of Al-Assad’s regime.”
