De-ath toll update | 67 casualties in cla-shes between SDF and local gun-men in Deir Ezzor and cautious calm return to Thiban

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the increase of the death toll in clashes between local gunmen and regime-backed militias from western of Euphrates, to 25, after the affirmation of the killing of three members of the local gunmen in Deir Ezzor countryside, and they are: 21 local gunmen, bodies if nine of them are with SDF, four SDF members and a woman.
Moreover, 42 people were injured, who are four civilians, 26 local gunmen and 12 members of SDF.
Cautious calm returned to the villages and towns of Deir Ezzor, after SDF regained control of Thiban town opposite Al-Mayadeen on the western bank of the Euphrates, and military forces of SDF deployed in the areas that witnessed clashes and attacks yesterday, carried out by local gunmen on military positions and checkpoints in Thiban, Hawaij Thiban and Al-Tayanah in Deir Ezzor countryside.
SOHR obtained video tapes showing gunmen crossing from areas of Iranian militias towards areas in eastern of Euphrates to fight against SDF.
Yesterday, SDF continued combing operations to siege the river banks, cutting roads and reinforcing its checkpoints.
On the same context, gunmen fired RPG shells on a checkpoint of SDF in Kaow’ Junction in Al-Ezba Town in northern Deir Ezzor countryside, amid the eruption of clashes.
Meanwhile, unidentified gunmen attacked a military vehicle with machineguns in Abo Al-Naital Town.
Moreover, clashes took place in Abriha Town in Deir Ezzor countryside.
Yesterday, SDF fired mortar shells on positions of regime-backed militias on the western bank of Euphrates River, as a response to bombardment by the latter on SDF positions.
Moreover, drones of SDF targeted positions of regime militias near Al-Mayadin area and the river crossing, while the bombardment is still ongoing.
It is worth noting that the clashes take place intermittently in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside near the banks of Euphrates River, amid displacement of civilians towards Al-Tayana and neighbouring villages, due to the artillery shelling by the regime and the curfew by SDF.
Earlier today, local gunmen carried out an infiltration operation on Theban town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, coinciding with artillery fire by regime forces, following clashes between SDF and local gunmen on two frontlines in the town.
