Dea*th toll update | 14 Syrian members including three high-ranking officers kil*led in Israeli attacks on positions in Daraa

Daraa province: The number of people killed in the Israeli shelling on military positions in Daraa has risen to 14.

Earlier today, 11 Syrian soldiers, including four officers were killed, and at least ten others were injured, due to the Israeli airstrikes after midnight of Tuesday-Wednesday, on Al-Radar battalion, in the vicinity of Qarfa town and the 12th brigade in Izraa area in the northern countryside of Daraa, which targeted warehouses of weapons, rockets and air defence radars, resulting in their destruction.
Yesterday evening, Israel fired seven missiles on Abden Military Base in the area between Abden and Jamla Villages in Hawd Al-Yarmouk area in western Daraa countryside.
Abden base is a military base of the Syrian regime forces near the occupied Golan.
This comes as response to the bombardment of Al-Golan with missiles that were fired from western Daraa countryside. However, no casualties were reported.
SOHR documented 42 attacks in 2023: 31 airstrikes and 11 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 90 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 86 combatants and injured 103 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:
• 40 members of regime forces, including officers.
• 31 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
• Six members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
• Four Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
• Three members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
• Two members of “Al-Jihad Al-Islami” organisation.
In addition, those attacks left three men and a woman dead and other civilians injured.
The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:

• Tartus: three attacks.
• Aleppo: seven attacks.
• Al-Suwaidaa: three attacks.
• Daraa: Six attacks.
