Ongoing uprising | Dozens of people from Jabal Al-Arab stage protest in Al-Sir square demanding toppling of Bashar Al-Assad

Al-Suwaidaa province: Dozens of people from Al-Suwaidaa villages and towns staged a protest in Al-Sir/ Al-Karamah square in Al-Suwaidaa city centre, demanding the toppling of Bashar Al-Assad and his government, the implementation of UN Resolution No.2254, applying of a political transition of power and the formation of a decentralized national body.

 

The protesters held banners with slogans written on them that read: “the ruling gang will offer you nothing,” “do not leave Al-Suwaidaa alone,” “the policy of starvation and marginalisation will never terrorize us,” “ Syria and it resources belong to Syrian people.”

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that peaceful protests against the regime and its policies of starvation and humiliation of the Syrian people continued in Al-Suwaidaa.

 

In this context, dozens of its residents gathered in Al-Karamah square in the centre of the city, demanding freedom, the toppling of the regime, the political transition of power, the release of detainees and the implementation of UN Resolution 2254.

 

The protesters lifted placards with slogans that read: ” Besiege your siege, the revolution in continuing” and other anti-regime phrases.
